Curriculum:
Dr. Santi received her Pharm. D. in 1987 and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology in 1992, from the University of Parma (Italy), where, in 1991, she became Assistant Professor. From 1998 to 2002 she was Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Parma (Italy) .
During her Ph.D. she spent 6 months at the University of Lille (F), as ERASMUS fellowship.
In 1992 she received the AFI-TRF Pharmaworks Award for the paper "Partition and transport of verapamil and nicotine through artificial membranes" (Int. J. Pharm., 68, 43-49, 1991).
She spent a sabbatical year (1994) at the University of California of San Francisco, Departments of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (San Francisco, California, USA).
In 2003, she was envited professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Université Claude-Bernard Lyon 1 (France).

Faculty Position:
From November 1, 2002, she is Full Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Parma (I)
From November 1, 2010 she is Vice-dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Parma (I).

Research Subjects:
The main research interests are transdermal, ocular and buccal drug delivery and iontophoresis.

Academic and Scientific Activities:
She is encharged of the course of "Pharmaceutical technology" at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Parma.
