SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY
The research activity is essentially
experimental. In particular:
1)
Elementary particles by the nuclear emulsion techniques.
2)
Magnetic properties of intermetallic compounds.
3)
Physical-chemical properties of semiconductors.
4) Thermoelectric
semiconductors (first evidence of phase transition in SnTe)
and semiconductors for infrared detections.
5) Biophysics
and Medical Physics:
a) Hematological
diseases
b)New methods for cell inactivation in
neoplastic pathologies.
6) Physical
aspects of biological materials
(first evidence of black
magnetic materials in homing pigeons).
7) Archeometry,
minerals, and meteorites by Mössbauer and ESR spectroscopies.
8) Biomaterials,
in particular dental materials.
Such activities are supported by about 140
publications on international journals and by many communications to international
congresses as well as several internal reports and communications to national
congresses.
She has organized several Congresses, workshops,
and teaching activities.
She has been Co-Director of the project "Development of Quality Control
for Blood and Blood products in Brasil" of the World Laboratory.
She has been organized the International Conference on the Applications
of the Mössbauer Effect -ICAME-95 September 1995.
